While creating the Movies Gadget I had a lot of work to do with lists and scrollbars. That's why I wrote an article about it for the knowledge base.
It was pretty cool that I could announce it on the Official Google Desktop APIs Blog

Movies Gadget v.1 released

As some of you might have already seen (on my page or on Googlified) I've released a new Gadget for Google Desktop which lets you see the most popular movies playing in a cinema near you. Kai from Google helped me with the design and I can't thank him enough because else it would never look as good. He also came up with the idea of a "mosaic view" to watch movie posters. To switch between views, just hit the clap on the top.

New Google Blog: Desktop API
Google is throwing a lot of blogs out there lately. Now there is a Google Desktop API blog, to help the coder community. Good idea in my opinion. They also want to extend the knowledge base and Teo made the start with this interesting article.

Movies Gadget prototype for you to test.
Long time no post and long time no gadget, but I worked hard on my new gadget: Movies
It's not finished yet (both missing some features and having some bugs), but you can still try it out and give me some feedback if you wish.
Download it here.
When steve jobs was praising their own movies widget yesterday, I experienced a deja-vu, since mine has a lot of similarities. And before everyone starts to think: Too bad I can't have it on my mac,you now have a version for Google Desktop on windows.
Btw, to switch views, you have to press on the bar on the top so far and don't forget, it's a prototype, so it's gonna look nicer, have less bugs and more features soon.

More news from Google Desktop
Yesterday, Google released a mac version of Google Desktop. As I don't have a mac, I can't say much about it. It doesn't have gadgets either (yet), though I am sure there will be soon other versions out (as for windows, where it currently is v.5).
So, as time passes on, this mac version probably will be become more and more functions...
Google also created a Developers' Hall of Fame for all the people who created some desktop gadgets.
Congratulations to my friends Bijoy and Teo, who came in first and second (no wonder, they created a gazillion gadgets).
I am happy to be ranked 7th with my 4 gadgets (And stay tuned, I have a few news ones in the pipe).
For those who don't know yet, the google.com/ig devs have a similar homepage here.

Homepage update
Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a while, nor done anything. I haven't even updated my old page with the new gadget "Mind Cloud", although it's not even that new anymore. But now, I gave the homepage a new design. I hope you'll like it. If you are new here, just subscribe to the blog and you'll always know when something new happens.
Enjoy the new design!
